In fact, a 2020 survey, conducted by found that “3 out of 4 homeowners surveyed have completed a major project since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and roughly the same percentage have one on the drawing board”. The results of a recent survey conducted by Principia Partners found that "Demand for outdoor living products is surging. Homeowners sheltering in place during peak COVID regulations developed a renewed interest in their backyards, really, as an extension of their home."

Even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many homeowners continued to invest in their outdoor spaces and yards, since they were now spending the majority of their day at home. In fact, each of Outdoor Living Brands franchise systems experienced strong sales growth in 2020 over 2019 levels. Aggregate sales increased 31% in 2020 including annual increases of 35% for Archadeck, 24% for Outdoor Lighting Perspectives and 32% for Conserva Irrigation. The sales growth hasn’t slowed and growth rates have further accelerated in the first quarter of 2021.
